Images from Utrecht, 2000

I didn't expect to like sleepy little Utrecht as much as I did, but in fact I thought it was better than what I saw of Amsterdam (which was lousy with annoying-as-hell Americans). When the rest of your life has gone seriously weird, it's nice to have a bit of serenity at home base. Utrecht did have atmospheric drinking holes, (literally) underground jazz bars, and an occasional big club night if we wanted to get seriously off our faces. And I got to meet Nicole Blackman when she played the town, so the city must not be all bad. I have more pictures from Utrecht than these—some of them are on the people pages, and some still have yet to be scanned.

The "Dom." Josiane Kremer and Bram Peeters have written an article about it.
