Here's a little timeline of our New Years' fest in
Zrenjanin, Serbia. Cec and I went with our friends Klaus and Zorana,
Zorana's brother Milan, his wife Tanya, and their friend Ivan. They
found an old restaurant in Zrenjanin, Milan's town, where there
would be traditional Serbian food (and lots of it), free-flowing
booze, and a Roma band that played till morning. It was great fun
and the hangovers the next day were worth it. The pictures are in
more or less historical order, so you can see everyone getting steadily
more loaded as the night progresses. |

This was the next day. We hung out at Milan's place (his courtyard
pictured), then went to a classical music concert at night. |
 |
The concert was held in an old Jewish Synagogue. It's a beautiful
building but not used much for its intended purpose anymore. The Jewish
population was hit hard in the 1940s. |

Outside of the synagogue. It was a good night. |
