I just followed this link off Die Puny Humans... It's a photo blog of Elena from Kiev's motorcycle travels through the Exclusion Zone around Chernobyl. Amazing pictures and an amazing story. I'm thinking of taking a couple of weeks off in the fall and chilling out in Crimea to get some movement in this book I'm trying to write. Chernobyl's pretty far to the north, but it's doable if I plan right. I want to see this... what the planet is going to look like after we humans go away.
Also check out my friends Katrine and Bram's story- for our final project in J-school I went to Estonia. They went to Chernobyl.
